Overall, we had a fairly easy pregnancy. We had our fair share of scares, mishaps, unexpected doctor's visits, etc. but I would have to say that it went quite well. I think we were very on edge, along with the rest of our family throughout the entire pregnancy only because of the trouble we had getting pregnant in the first place. I had a large fibroid tumor as well, which caused concern throughout my pregnancy, but it all ended up well. I gained nearly 40 pounds and had quite the large belly by the end! I absolutely loved being pregnant with you. Your daddy and I would sit and watch for you to move, we would play you music (Daddy liked to play Rap music, and I insisted that you hear only clean and peaceful songs), talk and sing to you, and absolutely treated my stomach as if it were gold. It was so neat to watch your dad and how protective he was over my belly. He treated me like a princess and would do everything for me, insisting that me doing practically anything "wasn't good for the baby". We both decided that we didn't want to know if you were a boy or a girl. We wanted your grand entrance to be a surprise. We didn't share the names that we had picked out either. We loved Payton and Kennedy for a girl and we were set on Elijah James "Eli" for a boy. Although I wanted to cave and find out so many times, I am so thankful to your dad for making me hold strong. All of our family, friends, us, everyone..we were all so excited in anticipation of what and who you would be...
Love,
Mommy
